Goodbye 2019, hello 2020!

As Jentrie closes out a fantastic 2019 and ushers in 2020, we want to take a moment to reflect on some of the milestones that blessed us this year. We completed 4 years of business in Concordia and our first full year of business at our Higginsville location. We are grateful to once again meet lots of new people to add to our growing Jentrie family. I’ll be honest when I say there were times that it was a struggle to keep both stores stocked and staffed, but we managed. Even though the two locations are only 20 minutes apart there were times that it felt more like 100 miles. We made countless late night runs to transfer inventory and reset the sales floor but the loyal customers continued to support us making it all worthwhile. We will continue to offer the best customer service and shopping experience that you’ve come to expect in the new year.

The biggest changes for Jentrie occurred at our original location. With some hesitation, nervousness, excitement and hope, Jentrie made the decision to move our business from the little shop on the corner to a new much larger location closer to I-70. We wanted to maintain our presence in Concordia along with giving us the ability to grow the business while adding logistical conveniences. When we purchased  the building it had sat vacant for many years and needed a total rehab. We basically started with a blank canvas and embarked on making this our own Jentrie masterpiece. Slowly but surely the building transformed into our vision and maybe even a little beyond. We are so pleased with how everything turned out and love sharing it with all of you when you walk through the doors. Sprinkled throughout the showroom, you’ll find splashes of items from our family farm, my husbands grandmothers house and even some random items that my dad spotted on his daily treks between farms. We’ve mixed sentimental with practical to make our new location an inviting place to visit. You can mingle with friends in our open layout floor plan or enjoy a nice visit while relaxing in our cozy customer courtesy lounge. Another one of our favorite milestones for 2019 was launching our TV ad campaign featured on Fox4KC. The commercials highlighted the variety of decor we offer along with the inviting atmosphere that so many of you enjoy.

With 2020 quickly approaching, we’re looking forward to sharing another fantastic year with you.
